Left Longreach around 7:55 AM. Headed towards the Maul. Made our first drift about 2 miles ESE of the Maul, it produced 2 keepers. Kept
drifting in the same area, and by 9:15, we (me and buddy John) had 4
keepers in the box. Continued drifting in the same area, until 1:30.
We finished with 8 Flounder in the box plus some huge croakers. The
biggest flounder was 23 1/4 ". Pat Harris at Longreach weighed it
it came injust 2oz under 5 lbs.

Weather was great. A confortable temperature, and a gentle variable
wind.

Will go again Friday, if wind and weather look good.

Way to go!

We were in your vicinity, didn't have too much luck, only croakers & blues. Tried hard for the flat ones, but only countless throwbacks. We were a little south of you. I had that kind of a trip last Fri.:) , but yesterday was my first NADA:( this year. I'm not sure whether 50/50 is worth the effort or expense? That's why they call it fishing, not Catching!;)
