I was invited to join Mojo Rising and his buddies on the Moover out of Seaview Harbor today. Left the dock early and steamed to the reef. Started out a little slow, a bit windy/cold but these conditions separate the men from the boys. Managed a few keepers at out first stop, then moved to a spot where mojo and I dropped at same time and caught keepers on the first drop. After that it was a steady pick of keepers, shorts, a few keeper sea bass and quite a few doggies. Ended up with 24 keeper tog to 20” and 3 sea bass. Wind finally laid down around 1 pm. But the crew was done at 2:30 with tired arms and a full cooler.
Hats off to Capt. Rob and mate Matt for an awesome day. This was my first tog charter and first time catching keepers. It’s a learning curve for sure. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
