Sunday, Raritan Bay - assorted spots, picked one short on clam, nothing on fresh snagged bunker chunk, so turned to trolling.

One real thick 35" bass saved the day with strong NW wind that wouldn't quit.

we started in the bay around 730 anchored up and sat there with no hits for two hours while a guy 20 yards from me was picking away at shorts with clam (we had a boatload of live bunker) Then all hell broke loose for an hour of catch n release (all 40 inch plus cows) they wouldnt touck a live bunker ,it was bunker heads all the way. chumming i think helped us. Then winds pick up so back to the dock with one small legal male for dinner.

No big ron - not even the peanut butter, but I couldn't get the usual brand so maybe that was the problem...........

Phyll the Thrills report is amazing !!!!! Humbling to fish hard, try lots of tactics, while another boat mugs em' up good !
