decided to roll the dice and head down the rocks and opt not to fish the bay, thinking the storm might have blown in some fish to the area, as it is typically already hot this time of year. We turned the hook at first light and were greeted by sporty conditions 5-8 with just enough spacing that we were still able to do 20 knots. Were the first ones down there and the screen lit up just as we were putting in the lines and thought it would be game on, but man, we were wrong. 3 hours later, not a touch, and were left to decide what to do. No surface activity or anything to give us much of an indication that it was going to happen there that day. Seeing several boats head past us from shark river, decided south wasn't the play so we headed back into the bay. Stopped around the hook and it was blue after blue, then went in the back and had 1 bass in the high teens and lost another boatside. That's about it... Dissappointing day, but better than work.
