Anyone know how far up the chesapeake I can expect to catch decent stripers? Above the bridge? considering property up there but I don't know how the fishing is. please comment

Depending on when and where,you can catch good fish all the way up to the dam.Fishing on the flats starts in march.Great summer and fall fishing just about everywhere north of the bridge.Mid and lower bay through most of the winter,depending on temp.

Thanks inga, are they comp. to sizes in the Dbay?(some one told me they were smaller in that area. Where is the damn located (how far up)

YES. Chesapeake Bay is in bad shape, the fish are small and far between. My suggestion would be to move to Connecticut and fish for big stripers all summer.
