I launch my kayak there at times and spend a lot of time just messing around there with my dog and daughter. I was amazed at the size and amount of boats that people would take in and out there. I would imagine that it would be a little dicey around low tide, but that is just a guess since I've never put a boat in there. One observation that I have made is that most who use the ramp are locals, aka they know what they are doing!

It is like the others said.......shallow. I grew up in the area and used the ramps a lot over the years, I would say use one of the other area ramps! The new ramp at the base of the Ocean City/Somers Point bridge on the Somers Point side is a much better option. Kennedy Park in Somers Point is ok as well, lots of parking. Tennessee Ave in Ocean City is also very nice. Corson's inlet gets really crowed and parking is a problem, lots of parking but a long walk. Not sure if the ramp at Bader Field/Black Horse Pike is still open but that would put you in close to Absecon Inlet. Faunce Landing Rd. in Absecon is another good option but a bit of a run to get closer to the inlet. I thought I read or heard that the ramp in Brigantine was going to be free this year. It has parking and good water. Any of these ramps will put you on some good back bay areas, some are better than others. If you want, call me, I would be glad to help if I can. Or if you see the Herr's truck in Folsom come find me, I'm in Hammonton and the surrounding areas everyday.

The boat launch at Hamilton Ave. in Linwood isn't too bad. The only issue is that there is no floating dock. I launched a 14 ft aluminum boat and a 17 ft carolina skiff there for years. The downside is that it is a long ride out to the bay and you need to watch the Ocean heights Ave. bridge to make sure you can get under it. If you are staying in the Patcong it is a good launch spot.

Seaview is a piece of cake even at low tide BUT you need to know the creek as others said. Take my 23' outta there often. Also you will need to purchase a parking permit from city hall if you want to park there. It's a hike from the hard road. The permits are $20 for the season and also cover Hamilton Ave ramp. They increase to 50 bucks APRIL 1st.

My apologies, I was referencing the Hamilton Ave. ramp in my previous post. I've never tried Seaview

One of the better ramps around. Deep water not far from land. Makes it easier to use then many others. Kennedy park in SP is a great looking ramp but the water is very shallow way way far from land. Once you learn the way out to the inter coastal it becomes easier and easier.

Green heads can be a problem in the summer. That is the worst part of sea view ramp.
