Saturday's offshore trip was very good with everyone catching their limit of jumbo porgies as well as some ling and cod. We will be sailing on these trips every weekend for the month of January. High hook was Ivan Smith of Brooklyn, NY with his limit of porgies, 18 ling and a cod. The pool fish was a 15 pound cod caught by Dave Baldwin of Brick, NJ. Dave also had his limit of jumbo porgies and some ling.

This year the Voyager will be making a few cod trips to the grounds off of Montauk. The first two scheduled trips will be Friday night February 5 and Friday night February 12. The boat will sail at 7:30PM and return the following night between 8:00PM and 10:00PM. The boat will be limited to 28 passengers and the fare will be $250. Reservations and payment in full are required.

I am taking an interest list for an offshore Tilefish trip leaving at 10:00PM this Wednesday night. The trip would return between 8:00PM and 9:00PM on Thursday. The boat is limited to 20 passengers and the fare is $300.

This Wednesday morning we will be running a 10 hour cod and ling special leaving at 6:30AM. The trip is "open boat" and the fare is $85. While this trip is "open boat" it would help us to know that you are coming so if you are, please call Captain John at 732-439-4019 or e-mail me from the website.

Sounds like some great trips you lined up there Skipper. Cod are starting to bite off of Montauk, your trip should be right on the money.
