I believe a short one. It?s for a small 14 ft V-bottom boat. How do I measure how long the shaft should be? Do you measure from prop to top of transom?

Just measure from the top of transom to bottom of keel. dead center. 15"=short shaft,20"=long. dave

I have a 6hp Evinrude, shortshaft, for 15" transom,Runs great, new thermostat,spark plugs, and lower unit oil. I dropped the price to $275.00. A 6 gal fuel tank is included. If interested let me know. Capt.Matt.

I have a 1977 Evenrude 9.9 HP that was just gone over by the outboard shop. Asking $375.00
Runs just fine. I can e-mail pics also.

I have a late 80's model merc 9.8 that runs like a top, serviced in may 05'at kings marine and have never had a problem with it since Ive had it asking $500 if interested throw me an e-mail
