Got a recent report of low 60's in the inlet yesterday and high 50's in the surf ??

WTF ???

Any guys getting different temps. Would explain slow fishing for sure

I was out on Saturday and had 78 in the bb behind margate. Did you hear that on the news? I know it will be 85-86 when I am in Marathon later this week

Last of incoming I had similar readings...the outgoing rose to @ 70.

Ran up to just off the casinos this morning and got hit in the face with a wall of cold air.... water temp dropped to 58 half a mile off the beach...

South of SIC bridge to TI in back was 57-60 today. North of SIC bridge is 70. A Capt out at the AV Shoal said it was 72. ??? Anyone know of good fluke spots north of SIC bridge? Thank you.

Bruce we had 1 nice spec and 1 tarpon a
about 30 pounds last night

Real, slow night, but plenty of fireworks to make it a pretty night

No I missed that, but the Avalon surf has been real cold. Don't think I ever saw such a difference between back and front

It's the S and SW horrizontal air flow DB. Drops the surf temps like a rock this time of the year.

Made for a very pleasant night on the beach for the fireworks the other night. Steped back over the boardwalk and the temp rose twenty deg.

It is always about 45-55 on the bottom. When I used to diver around here in the summer you had to were everything you could get on. Botties,gloves,hood, or a dry suit. Its just the surface temp that is low. Upwellings.

Avalon surf was 55.1 degrees F. yesterday

Dr. Bass, It went from a full suit, to trunks overnight. Now it dropped alittle again, spring suit. Fished the 4th with the Kirk brothers Rob ,Tom and Dan.TK had IBSP Striper fever!!!!!! What a fun day! And a beautiful place. The things fish, do to men....
