I need the follow 7 items completed in the next 45 days so the boat is ready before spring. I can have her transported to most yards in NJ.

Sailboat - Marshall 22', 1986, 10' wide, Name: Sturdy Turtle
Powered by the original 2GM Yanmar

1 -Replace 2 sea-cocks - raw-water inlet for engine and sink drain in cabin - both are easy to get to.

2- Trans slips under load over 2,200 rmps - rebuild trans fix and/or pull out and I'll drop off at Mack Boring and have you install the rebuild.

3- Replace 4 fixed portlights - I have the rough cut lexan from Marshall - needs to be installed correctly with orginal Bronze bolt together trim.

4 - Replace bilge pump in engine area

5- Paint cabin sole (2 coats) - I have the paint

6- Paint cocpit sole (2 coats) - Same paint as # 5

7- Sand as needed as apply (2 coats) of Cetol to all exterior teak trim.

Looking for an estimate itemized price for this work - again I'm looking to have this work done in the next 45 days. It is important to know how soon the work can be performed. Also if unable to complete the paint work (# 5, 6, and 7 above) this time of year I will do it when all other work is complete.

Thanks in advance for the recomendations.

All the best,
Chris Mele

Most yards will not service sail boats. Check with Cardinal Yachts, they might be able to help out.

I would love to work on a Marshall 22 - cat boat ..... I can do all of the above ......

Chris - are you still mad at me for referring to sailboater as ...... " Whistle Pisser Blow Boater " ?
I have personally owned two day sailors a Peep 14 & Bay Hen 21 ..... Cardinal Joe

This type of sail boat does not have a deep keel so it doesn't need huge sail boat stands - most powerboats should be held with at least one set of sail boat stands but most don't know this. In NJ several good yards will work on sailboats but many don't. The mast on my boat is out and she can be moved with a Hostar trailer the same as most power boats.

Joe C. are you in the office on Sunday? If so I'll call you.

She's located in Surf City on LBI - I had a freind of mine haul it (he's down in FL now) and we had to block it very high so you must have air suspension to get it.

I'll call you.
Thanks,
Chris

I didn't want to bother you at the show - I used to work the AC and PA shows and know first hand how bad snow on a Sat is so I'm sure you were packed on Sunday. I'll give you a call today.
Thanks,
Chris

Yes - it was busy up to 3;30 pm ..... My Hostar trailer will be able to handle the height & LBI is not a problem ..... but ,Sbbtmatt - is a very good transporter and that is his turf & livelihood , I would preferred you give him a shot , he has delivered many boat's to Cardinal ......

Thanks Joe, it is always a pleasure dealing with you guys. GW24 did you keep this at Causeway Boat Rentals one year? I think that we may have moved this boat before. I know that there is not too many of the 22s around we do a ton of the 18s, they are all over in Beach Haven. I am not a fan of sailboats but the Cats are pretty cool boats.

Yes that's my boat - I keep it at Wally's place - I have had a few boats their over the years. Wally's has a great docks and is well protected. You pulled it a fall 08 and put it near the back ramp with my stands. The boat is going up for sale so this year so I had Don Southwick - great guy and another great marina...he and I pulled the mast and the it was blocked it in my front yard. He's down in FL this time of year now I think.
Just call me chris

Chris, Don is not around, I think he actually heads north this time of year, Rhode Island I think. Don is a great guy though, the whole Southwick crew down there are great people. We usually do all of there long distance hauls (anything out of Beach Haven) for them. For being a 22 that thing is a beast, all of those Cats are big boats.
