Spring tog

Most important thing in the spring is water temp...This year is going to be a late spring; because of the cold and snowy winter; Be sure to release all large females in May as they are loaded with eggs. Keep only smaller males

viking1, water temp is an important factor. No matter where you're fishing out of Cape May, you'll be fishing inshore and the current is very strong even without a moon. Fishing off the moon might be beneficial for you with the tides being quite strong inshore. Wind direction is all relative to tide, so I wouldn't let that play much of a factor in to booking your trip. In April, tog fishing is usually good, so pick a nice day and go get 'em! I'll be targeting them in April along with stripers, so if you'd like give me a call and we'll try and get you hooked up!
