I'm new to Striper fishing and was wondering what type of clams people are using. The local market has live Chowder clams and a couple other types and was wondering if it makes a difference. Thanks for the help love the site.

Tom,
Surf clams are the best.
Chowders are OK in a pinch, but find some surf clams

Clams

Thanks, I'll see if they have them. I'm fishing the Delaware in Burlington. Had chowders the other day under Turnpike pike bridge and had something big within 15 min of getting there. It ran under the pilings and I lost it. After that not another bite. The water temp is looking good.
