I'm buying a 24 foot walkaround in south jersey and need a trailer for it.I'm considering a new loadmaster but they are made in ohio and shipping cost is pretty high.Any ideas where i can get an 8 to 10 thousand gvwr bunk or roller trailer in the area.I don't want to go venture or loadrite as i've heard horror stories about both.Any help appreciated.

i got my trailer at Maximum Marine (a loadrite, roller style) and it is great. the folks there are great to work with, do good work at fair prices. I've had it for 4 years, no problems. Just remember to wash it when you wash the boat after dunking in the salt and you should be good to go for years.

Maximum Marine on RT 50 about 1/2 way between Tuckahoe and Greenfield. I've bought 3 different size boat trailers off them over the years. Chris is pretty good to work with so is her dad Max(?)

If your looking for boat, work, or cycle trailers I'd give them a look.

I don't need one............yet, but what's the approx cost of a two axle aluminum trailer with disk brakes on one axle and rated for up to 3,000lbs or so ?

In NJ you must have brakes on all axels, of course it wold probably go un noticed unless you were involed in an accident

used trailer?

I guess it depends on the condition, value of your boat and the condition and maintenance history of the trailer. Personally I can't see cutting corners on a used trailer to haul something as expensive as a boat.

Now if you primarily slip it another option to save money is have whoever does your work use their trailer and then block it for storage.
just a thought
