Found a good deal two Shimano Compre Muskie rods (15-40 lb. line; 3/4 - 3 oz. lure weight heavy power fast action 7'2") I'm looking for opinions on which reel I should pair with these. These sticks seem like they will be a good all around rod (deepwater fluking, stripers, drum, tog). I really like the trinidads, they are just so expensive. I would like something that has a high gear ratio. I've also looked at some of the Fin Nors (offshore and marquesa) and they look pretty nice. I'm looking for opinions on which reel would be a good match for this rod and for what I want to do with it without breaking the bank. Thanks.

Thanks Dunk, I checked them out and for the price, look, and they are made in the USA it seemed hard to beat, I picked up two of them. I went with the MXL 5.8 MC, they seem to be awesome reels and can't wait to try them out. They are a perfect match for those rods.
