growing up in nj i worked on the seafox out of atlantic highlands thru high school..early 80's i remeber our success on these nite trips. dont here about em anymore..i live in ct now and primaraly fish rhode island where i keep my boat..this year some of the boats in mass started to offer whiting fishing..... as a kid i would fish the long branch peir and fill a few buckets of whiting/ling at night..take em to leroys smoke house in atl highlands 2 days..wala...jim...

My friend those days are over. At least until fishing "management" gets its act in gear. But come down here and you can catch all the spineys you want. Can't castrate the spiney because there ain't no end to those pricks.

hi bob, i can beleive it...so true... drifting for tuna off block island the amount of dead whiting/ling etc. is miles long behind the draggers.....jim
