Just got back from a stint in marathon. The wind was BRUTAL- 15-25 mph each day. We did ge out for a few days with spinning tackle and ran into some Spanish macks, Yellowtail, Mangrove Snappers, a varity of shark and a host of other fish. We did get to break out the long rod on some protected flats and took some cuda up to about 12 pounds on fly and ultra light spinners. I can hardly wait for the water up here to show some signs of life, but with the reports of herring in corson's and great egg inlets it should start pretty soon.

CH Atleast you got to wet a line. Too bad the weather didn't allow for more. Even though we had some nice weather here, there are still no signs of activity. Thanks for the report. I could enjoy catching small cuda on the fly all day long. A bad day cuda fishing is better than no fishing at all. I wish I was there.

I love those bacarudas! They are vicious! I got a bunch of those big ones oceanside in Islmorada last March. Way windy then too.
