Guys thought I would give you a report on how I did fyke netting this season for winter flounder. It was the worst season I have ever had in the past ten years. Luckly for me it is now almost a hobby and I do it because I love to catch fish not so much for the money, but at the end of the season I talked to one guy who caught a good amount of fish. I think maybe we did so bad due to the large amounts of grass in the bay this winter or maybe the dredge in Oyster Creek channel. I am going to hook and line fish this weekend and hopefully will get afew for diner. I will report back with results.

too early, I thought the flounder enter the bay late fall mid-winter spawn then school up as they leave the bay and head offshore to georges bank for the summer, they have deff. spawned and have statrted to eat again, that is why they are so skinny right now, but should fatten up as time goes on, I agree that the water is a little cool right know and figured I would try one of the "warm" spots in the bay,but this is all new to me, maybe I should check with the experts like HUTCHJR and he can fill me in on how to fish
