I have read they do. Some site said a fish on ice for 6+ hours can shrink up to an inch. I had a 28 1/4" bass shrink enough to get me a fine:( , which really upset me!

What pisses me off is that I live in Philly, so in order to keep the fish at it's freshest(sp?), i ice them. Sometimes they are on ice for 12 hours, depending how long i stay. Keeper size is 28", so now if i catch a 28 1/2 i have to worry about it shrinking and getting a fine. It's BS.

Like I said before, I guess it' good they are doing their job..

Is that what you told the Park Rangers. LOL:) Anyway they know it shrinks, sounds to me they are a bunch of ball busters, they can tell how long that fish has been on ice. You should try fighting it look up the info about fish shrinking on ice on the internet take it to court and see what happens. That probation thing F***ed Up.
