We just traded up from a 32 regulator to a 37 Ocean Billfish. The 32 reg had twin 350's and was an awesome boat. Expect to get 1mpg cruising anywhere over 4000rmp's. The boat was more ecomomical between 36 to 4000 rpm's about 1.5 to 1.7. Do not believe what Reg tells you. They get there specs when the boat is fully trimmed up with no water and light fuel. When you run as heavy as we did offshore and add Ice, full fuel, 5 people, consumption is heavy. They boat is a beast, but you have to know how the run it and the trim tabs are extremely sensative with the 350's vs the 250's due to the extra weight of the transome. I would be curious to see how the 300's would run. Feel free to PM me if you need any details.

Have a 32 w/ 350's on it now. Like greg says, she's thirsty but a beast. I came out of a 32 reg with 250 two strokes. Two completely different boats in performance. Although nothing wrong the the 250's, IMO it needs the bigger power to make her perform. just my .02 PM w/ questions. good luck

for the record,, I have run her from barnegat inlet to the hudson, trolled all day then run to the chicken and trolled some more and run home,, well over 200 hard running miles and god knows how many trolling miles and im talking loaded for grizzlies loaded up!!!! and I have never burned much more than just over a half a tank!!! and I run it as she likes to run,, its a solid boat that can fish anywhere the fish are in the northeast where the fish are.....

I just got 2004 model this year w/ 250 two stroke. Well, it is a nice boat. It is a little slow for a lot of guys, but I am happy with 32~33 knots with about 4300~4500 rpm. Only problem is it uses a lot... I mean a lot of gas. If you can cruise about 30~35 knot, it will give you 1.1~1.3 mpg. However, if the weather is a little choppy and you want to go slower than 25 knots then it only gives 0.7~0.8 mpg. If you go really slow... say 15 knots then it will only give you 0.7 mpg. I made LEI to Hudson (on the way out it was very choppy so I only did 15~20 knots) and the Chicken Canyon and come home to LEI(I keep the boat at Great Bay Marina: Marinato Inlet is about 4~5 miles). I used 225 gallons. You can PM me if you want to ask to me any questions.

the regulator with twin 350's is incredible. the hull handles and chews up rough seas. also with the HP can be a speed boat as well. fuel consumption wide open is about 60 gals per hour but about 60 mph. running about 35 mph seems to be about 28 gals per hour or so.

wonderful boat

I have a 2007 32 with twin 4 stroke yamaha 250's. It is a 28 knot boat at 4500 rpm loaded down with full fuel and all equipment. Rarely is the ocean calm enough for me to want to go any faster. It handles reasonable seas very well and almost never bangs. The quality of the boat and fittings is excellent and it still looks absolutley new. The miles per gallon is a bit low and I get 1.1 at cruise.
