Seems like nothing ever goes smoothly or quickly when working on the boat during sring prep. This is boat prep in a nutshell:

1. Determine problem.

2. Determine problem's problem.

3. Drive to marine store to get replacement problem.

4. Get back from marine store with new problem.

5. Try to remove old problem.

6. Another problem arises.

7. Figure out how to fix another problem so new problem can replace old problem.

8. Correct another problem, remove old problem install new problem.

9. Test new problem to see if it works. It doesn't.

10. Trace back to latest problem.

11. Find latest problem and fix it in 15 seconds.

12. Test latest problem's repair by jumping to old problem.

13. Old problem now works fine!!!!

14. Remove replacement problem and re-install old problem.

15. Re-package replacement problem and drive back to store to return it.

16. Realize receipt is no where to be found so now stuck with replacement problem.

17. Drive home and put replacement problem on shelve and save until old problem becomes new problem again.

Tom, did you replace your plastic thru hull fittings this year with brass?? I have a broken one below the water line and was wondering how hard it's going to be to replace. I bought a brass one, since I'll be doing the rest in brass anyway next winter....
